• BlueCross/BlueShield of North Carolina** - several plans cover non-medical, vision examinations. BCBSNC members often have a vision benefit and don’t know it. Call BCBSNC Customer Service 1-888-206-4697 to find out.

• Medicaid ** -covers vision services and glasses for children 19 years and under. Pre-certification is necessary..
  

*Vision Plan Exams (i.e., non-medical) include refractive evaluations and eye wellness screening. Vision examinations do not take the place of the comprehensive eye health examinations recommended for people over 65, taking medications for chronic ailments, or experiencing signs or symptoms of ocular disease.

**Vision services are available at both locations but eyewear benefits are not available at our Asheville office (L'Optique).
